What is Divergent Design? With 10+ years of experience in commercial design, manufacturing representation & commercial carpentry experience Divergent Design is a residential & design-build studio dedicated to enriching or enhancing existing historical or cultural architecture including design elements of Detroit. Detroit has architectural as well as real estate influence from more than three colonial empires and historically black architecture resulting in one of the most diverse housing & commercial stocks in the nation. So much so that more than two-thirds of the nation uses Detroit as a medium to measure value in these commercial or residential backed securities markets. Divergent Design or D2 will allow Detroiter's access to these elegant design elements in a wholly equitable, affordable manner through design services that give an a la carte experience in how they want to rehabilitate or add to existing space in Detroit without price being the driving factor in affording the ability to add equity in restoring Detroit.

What is College Core Community Development? C3D was born out of residents' lived experience in Detroit: District 2 Fitzgerald's neighborhood being the location of a landmark but soon to be failed residential development project. While great in intention it ultimately had poor practice in proof of concept in addition to gentrification. This non-profit will allow anyone not able to afford Divergent Design or any other housing crisis the same access to housing, home repair, affordable rental, or other housing scarcity-driven corner a resident may find themselves in not knowing there's another way to stable housing. Through partnership, fundraising, grants & government sponsorship C3D is driving to make sure every Detroiter has a roof over their head without coercion or fear of loss.
